Hello Again
Sun Apr 22, 2012 1:35 pm
Hey peeps,
Been a long time since I have been on here, see lots of new people, Cars coming along very nicely.....
Anyways I have been away from the hobby for a bit longer than I expected.
( got the hump with it after my Firebird went belly up in a big way )
Now I feel I am ready to get back into making a replica.
Will be looking for another car soon.
Just thought id say Hi to all again, and Hi to all 'newbies' that I do not know

Thanks Peter, Mike
Missed being around it all to be honest. But I spat my dummy out when mine gave in completly.
Haha Stu.....
Had one of them and did not do alot of good....
Think I just got a car that had been used and really abused. Think all in all I spend around 5.5k to try and get it running right, before it gave upon me and would run no more.......
More thought to go into the car I buy this time.....
And will def not go for the V6 this time.... V8 all the way.

Hey bud, welcome back !
Yeah you live and learn i guess, sometimes they just dont play ball, mines still running like a bag of crap after replacing lots of parts so it needs a good fettling.
Id try and find yourself a nice 88 or 89 Firebird Formula then, that'd be a great starter car

I know the feeling. My engine has gone belly up, so I have 'lost' interest in it a bit now and with cash flow a little tight, things are not going my way
But nice to see you back.

Trust me.
I am not going to need an additional 10 - 15k for a resonable replica..

Nope !
Know as much as most people on here.
But will not cost me that much, I know that.
This is not my first forray into the KITT replica.
I managed to get quite alot of bits really cheap last time through various breakers etc.. Just got to know where to look.
The most expensive bits will be Nose, Scanner, Dash, Gullwing, Electronics.
I am in no rush to get it done, I will wait for right parts to come at the right price.

i know what your saying but bits are getting harder and harder to find and the prices have gone throught the roof the longer you leave purchasing the important stuff the more expensive and harder to find it will become i know recent market on these bits as i spent months searching for bits at the right money its a bloody nightmare
