I have a question for you all...

What's the best and coolest gadget ever for a KITT replica that the original KITT also had?

I working on something for my own KITT and I wanted to keep it a secret, mostly because I want to be sure that I will have it at my home one day.
Else I'm telling something that didn't become reality after all.

But this is to nice to not share it with my friends!

Or "Surveilance Mode" (that's the one I think was the coolest)

No, it's not one of those.

Turbo boost would really be great, but my car only does that once.
Ski mode would be nice also, but till today still impossible.....atleast not yet by a push of a button.

Grapling hook, is not impossible to fabricate yourself, just like auto roof.
I can't make it myself, a specific fabric in South America needs to make it.

Oke, a small hint, the gadget wasn't shown a lot in the whole serie.
As far as I can remember so quickly (haven't seen the episodes in a long time anymore) it was about four or five times or so I think.

So, what is it?!

No, it's something completely new.
Not one replica on the world has it...yet!

It's so unique, that it still needs to be made for a Pontiac.

The "Convertible Mode" button would be cool too, but changing a 4 seater T-top to a 2 seater convertible was (and still is) only possible in the TV studio.

Having the "C" button is one thing, but actually having a working Convertible mechanism is something else (and unfortunately still impossible to have it as it was in TV show)

I don't think it's a good idea to ruin my (original Recaro) Trans AM to make a convertible from it.

Once the gadget is installed, you won't see what it can do, till I push a button.
Advandely it will work on voice commando also.

I have e-mailed many companies about it over the years, some responded to say it's not possible to get it for a normal (or only one) car, others didn't even replayed.

Advancely I found a company..strangely here in The Netherlands itself, who made them strong for me..and talked with the license holder and factory.
They both agreed to produce this special glass for only my Pontiac!!
Normally they don't do this, it's only being made for mass production or very exclusive cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.

So this is really unique!

Because it's unique, also the price is unique...very expensive.
The costs for all the windows (besides the T-tops) are estimated at 4500,- GBP and then insurance and shipping from South America will still come on top of it, so my guess is that the price will be twice as much.

But I don't care if I have to save up a big amount to add this special glass to my Pontiac.
I'm already half way to buy the glass, now I have to start saving money for insurance and the shipping costs itself.

I need to ship all the windows first to the factory, so they can mold them, to make the new glass.

Well, that's it...the unique gadget that I'm (hopelly) going to add to my Pontiac!
Once in a while I e-mail the person who arranged this for me, so let him know that I'm working on it to save the money that's needed.

When I have it, I will repaint my KITT also at the same time.
When that's than, I will certainly come to the Knight Con again to show it in real!!

Ive always loved the tinted windows feature on KITT, he looks so cool when everything is blacked out. But the cost ! wow thats really expensive, you could buy another really really nice trans am for that amount of money, with windows and everything ! lol

Yeah, I could buy a second Trans AM from the money, but I think people will be blown away when they see the self tinting glass!

Most people even don't know that it exists, so this makes it even more fun!
