Deadly Maneuvers Steering wheel Empty Deadly Maneuvers Steering wheel

Has anyone noticed the odd steering wheel that dh is using during the race across the minefield scene? Apologies if its been discussed before. Is it a stunt wheel or were they still tinkering with designs at this stage of filming?

I have a screenshot if anybody memory needs jogging.

It was a modified stunt wheel, it had the other grips on the back, i guess they were still finding which wheels worked best for higher speed driving and stunts etc.

Bear with me, on holiday at the moment (parkdean in Cornwall - about 20 miles from kirad, with a pocket full of holiday money - too tempting lol).
Anyway, will be home Friday and I'll post it then.

if you look at your first screen shot the upper console is just a big black block with no buttons or anything, and also if you look at the corner of the dash nearest the drivers door you can see its the fake partial stunt dash.

The stunt cars were literally held together with tape etc, lol

Well, I think you can see why Michael scheffe is so proud of the work you guys do. Stunt cars aside, you have taken his dreams and prop dash and made it a working reality.

Looking forward to joining the club lol...

Btw, I've got every episode sat on my hard drive on my htpc, so taking grabs is as easy as a click, always useful I find for analyzing close ups and checking things out etc.

Also good for playing games like...'spot the comtron truck' lol
