Aux Lights
Fri Apr 16, 2010 10:08 pm
Hello to everyone. Please allow me to introduce my self.
I am Nikos from Greece.
Nine months ago i decided to go on with my 10 year dream which happens to be the dream of most KR fans to build the replica car.
My project consists of a 3 phase schedule.
First year (Now) gather all electronics.
Late 2010 - mid 2011 gather all fiberglass stuff.
Early 2011 find a nice clean donor 1982 car and issue historical .
So far i am waiting for
- dash electronics season 2 from Brennon,
- switch pod electronics season 1 from Christian Forget,
- lower console season 1 from Christian also
- chemical analyzer, oxygen vent from Peter
So far i have the tv frame from Gregg Nowling,
the 2 dvd set from Bo Mcd,
the lic plate from Mark Puete,
2 tft 5'' touch from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (at last),
My hobby at the moment is re-building/re-painting KITT 1:18 ERTL static models
I must admit that Markus from Germany inspired me to go on with that!
I am very obsessed with accuracy.
Much appreciated your immediate replying to my questions for switch pod labels and lcds.
Today i am processing details for the famous auxiliary lights.
I heard about the blazer driving lights who most use in US.
I have found also that hella lights are quite powerful.
Unfortunately because i do not have bumper yet dunno know dimensions for lights.
Shall they be H3 or H7?
Please have a look if possible to ebay.ca (key word HELLA H71030047 3X5 SPOT FOG DRIVING) and tell me if it will do.
Also suggest other sollutions using projector lamps and publish photos to see how xenon lights look in KITT.
many thanks!

I think KITT/KARR had large auxiliary lights in season 2 and that size i am going to get.
By the way i have found these on ebay and i would like to ask your opinion about that.

One typical question for aux lifgts. There are 2 types. Headlights and fog lights. They cost 40 and 30 euro each. Both are of type "Hella Comet 450"
Can i use head lights as aux lights or is law forbidden?

Head lights should be fine as auxiliary. In England Fog lights would be against the law. (as i found out the hard way)
