Star Trek starships collection
Sun Aug 25, 2013 8:32 pm
Hi guys
I thought id share this as im not sure what other countries they are available in.
This is a fortnightly collection which has just been released. as usual the first one is quite cheap and the rest of the series will be more expensive.
I bought the first one for €4 which is the Enterprise D
and i have to say i am impressed with the size, detail and quality of the ship.
even if you only pick up the first one, a good quality ship for a cheap price!

I was going to do this as I love Star Trek. However upon investigation I discovered the usual price is £10 per issue and there are loads of ships to collect. Would end up paying hundreds on them. I decided not to in the end. ((

Hehe. I would do but it's my least favourite Enterprise. Best looking one would have to be from the original films in the 80's.

Haven't seen this yet here but Star Trek TNG ship would be nice to have. Not sure if this even will appear here, they canceled the Bond series and also another magazine, Champion Rallycars series before which had 1/43 diecast cars with them.
What's the size of the ships in cm?

So far they have 30 starships... And more to come according to their website.
I was going to get these but there is no way I'm spending that amount on them
I personally only want a handful of them

So that's about 300 quid at least. Man what a con. I'd like to collect them all but not at that price.

Its crazy money when you add it all up.
Thats the problem with all of these collector series, the first one is always cheap just to try and reel you in, the rest are more expensive and you never know when it will finish!
I would only be interested in the Enterprise ships really, as a collection of them would be great
but its still a lot of cash.
I think one expensive hobby is enough for now!!

Thats exactly what i wanted Peter but like you i wasnt subscribing, the part works as they are called are a con, i used to do them at the shop i worked in and i remember one issue someone had been collecting for over a year and the publisher simply stopped printing them, so they couldnt finish the collection.

I've subscribed to them. Got the first 3 on Monday. There's gonna be 70 ships by the end of it!
