sumvision cylcone mini

ok, here is my toptip of the day:
i know a few of you out there have the sumvision cyclone micro multimediaplayer to play video files on your dash. like this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sumvision-Cyclone-Micro-Media-Player/dp/B0046SD2MK
i actually have 2, to show 2 different movies on my 2 tv dash. i like them because theyre small, cheap and play anything. the things i did not like, was the crappy remote and menu structure you haveto go through to get to the files. well, just figured out that if you put all files in a folder called "autoplay" the files get played automaticly when started up. in order to start u you would need to point the remote quit precise. that means the 2 players need to be in sight. i had them attached to my scanner controllbox next to my steering wheel.
i now bought this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251396959047?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
this extends the IR from the remote and passess it through, so you can hide the 2 mediaplayers anywhere and all you have to do is aim at the little eye, to power up both players and they start playing.....

I have mine so as soon as i press power on my dash the unit starts up on its own and just plays, no using the crappy remote :-)

how do you get them to power up when they get a 12v signal. if i put 12v to it, the red standby led turns on, and not untill i press the power button on the remote the led turns blue and the divice starts up. is this a setting?????

Yes it's a setting on mine, I have my dash so it powers up and down via button and key fob so when the dash turns on it just starts playing the file which is great
