Headlight Assemblies Wire Plugs Removal??

These are those wire connectors that attach to the hidden light assemblies that raise and lower, does anyone know how to disconnect these? I don't want to just get in there with a screwdriver and start prying away without knowing for sure how they are supposed to be disconnected

Like most of the GM stuff i believe you position a flad head screwdriver in the side to press the clip in then it should pull out pretty easy with a bit of effort. Don't quote me on that though as i've never taken this exact plug out before but looks very similar to others on the car.

Thanks Peter, that confirms my suspicion after examining the plug up close in the photo.

I finally got them unplugged so I was able to take out the passenger side headlights assembly. I wanted to take them out to give them a thorough cleaning as they are pretty coated with grime and gunk. I may repaint them depending on how they look after a good cleaning. If my first one is any indication I ended up using a lot of engine degreaser and a good few buckets of hot soapy water and they could still use some cleaning... drivers side one is just as bad to be sure
