Someone from Ireland here?
Sun Mar 22, 2015 2:49 pm
Is there someone from Ireland here?
I need some help with getting some information.
My question is, how do you cancel a Irish license plate?....so it's not registered anymore.
Is it easy to arrange?
Are there any costs involved?
I hope someone can find this out for me.

Irish plates have their own set of rules. I have bought a couple and put them on my cars over here.
Are you wanting to put it on your own car? Don't know if you can do it in europe.
In effect, you generally have to "buy" the car with the plate then when the plate is yours you can pretty much do whatever you want with it.
Depending on the reason you want to cancel it, you'd be better off talking to Irelands DVLA Equivelant

I made a down payment for a car in Ireland, but the Irish license plates need to be canceled, so it's not registered anymore on the owners name.
I'm not going to register it here in The Netherlands, because I'm not going to drive it.
Thanks for the link, I'm going to contact them to see what I can find out about the canceling thing.

PS. I did register myself at Facebook, but only to advertise for Knight Passions, but till now I didn't received any new customer by it.
