i may bring my 1:18 KITTs again. White KITT, Convertable KITT, Custom KITT etc. I'm trying to think of a way to make a display so tjhey don't get trashed this time.

Maybe enquire about some acrylic cases (polycarbonate or similar). Even simpler would be 'perspex'.
Failing that maybe you could source some old glass display cases used in Jewelry shops?

give these guys a ring, my dad used to provide work for them before he retired and closed his fabrication business.

Display cases the size you need shouldn't be that silly price wise, I'm sure they would have some clear plastic off cuts lying around.
