Had a car crash today

Was on the way to my mams house to work on KITT, bloody typical, i starting slowing down, whilst indicating, to turn into my mams estate and the woman behind me just kept going, she swerved to avoid me but didnt swerve enough ! she fully admitted it, her son was opening a bottle of coke and it spurted everywhere she said, so she took her eyes off the road, idiot.

smashed into the back of me, but mostly over to the RH side so the rear bumper was mangled, popped the light but then the force rippled the rear quater panel right out like a triangle, couldnt open the back door, so the insurance company just wrote the car off there and then over the phone.

That was my first ever car crash and i didnt care for it one bit !

so thats another day of doing nothing to the Trans Am, n probably nothing till next week if im sore, an ambulance turned up and as soon as i said my neck was sore they put a neck brace on me and i had to lay down on a spinal board n go to hospital to be checked over

I know, was due a service which i was gonna do myself next weekend, coz we are going away the 1st week in May, in the car.

but instead its goin to a scrap yard ! lol, we are getting some dosh off the insurance company so i'll hopefully find something during the course of next week, they've given us a hire car for free starting on monday for a week.

no idea what kind of car it is though, better not be something totally crap !

I got a ford focus cmax thing, It was relativly new, as uncomfortable to drive as a sledge without snow and had the power of a slug.

the wonderful world of hire cars hehe.

Thats exactly what i was thinking, that and the fact i was in the car on my own, so glad the kids werent with me.

We are getting a hire car for a week for free so i'll see you wednesday night at the metrocentre

Keep an eye on that free rental car, someone I work with had a free rental car for a week, due to his wife be excessively ill, she could return it before the end of the day of the contract and he had to work so couldnt return it either, think the insurance company wanted over £150 if the car wasnt returned on time

different insurance companys have different procedures so might not apply to you, but just a heads up... just in case

I know it's bogus when this kinda thing happens (we had 2 cars hit in the space of 3 weeks at end of last year), but like everyone else is pointing out, it could have been a lot worse, so try to stay positive mate.

Cheers lads, im doing alright, still a bit stiff and sore but nothing too bad, think im gonna be off work the rest of the week though, fair enough if i worked in an office but ive gotta walk around for 4 hours carrying a heavy bag ! lol, probably not the best job to jump straight back into

The courtesy car has been pretty straight forward Ryan, its gotta go back monday morning, actually i think they are collecting it because they dropped it off. Im just stressing because i need to find another car by the weekend because Janine needs a car for work everyday, argh ! been offered a megane for 1300 quid but my dad said stay away coz they are crap and have loads of engine problems.

We did get a new car on sunday, nothing like cutting it close ! its another Xsara, pretty much identical to the one thats just been written off except its a diesel, and its pretty damn quick as soon as it gets to 2k rpm, ah my first ever diesel, thought it might work out better for Janine as she is out and about in the car everyday while at work.
