Kindof off topic but I could not be bothered making a new topic post, so sorry if thats against anyones rules but .
Does anyone know if Rob Louisell has retired or not, I can't access his website anymore, and I'm getting conflicting info from the internet world about him, some say he's retired some say he's not.
Anyone any ideas ??
Thanks
Matt

He did actually retire, but i think he's still dabling and his sons are continuing the business, but if you are looking at turnkey prices from him the last time i checked was $30,000 for a full replica

Yeah I'm still split between KIRAD and KOE,
I like the parts both people provide, but the winning aspect is that KOE will go view the car before I buy it, pick it up for me, take it back to the workshop and then do all the work I want done.
So less for me to sort out, because they are willing to take that on for me ))
But we will see maybe KIRAD will have a car and KOE won't by the time my money arrives, we'll see

Dont KOE only do season 4? so if you want to do an earlier season you will have to go with KIRAD, and i cant speak for KOE stuff but KIRAD has the best customer support, parts are really high quality and some chap on here makes overlays for KIRAD that are super duper

Yeah KOE have told me they ONLY do season 3/4 dashbaord parts, but thats what I want, and I really like the way they make the dashboard modules fully functional
I only am thinking KOE because after talking with KIRAD and KOE, KOE say they are willing to source a car, view it for me, transport it to the workshop and they have most of the parts I want in stock most of the time.
KIRAD although very helpful, said they do not have the ability to transport a car to the workshop and I would have to order in all the parts I want them to fit.
So seen as I really do not know who best to order those parts from and am concerned on wasting time and money, I think it's best if I let the people who know what they are doing to do it.
And I'll do the stuff I know about when the work I can't do is done .

hi geordie you must of misunderstood because kirad can source and collect the vehicle plus parts are in stock as all the molds and materials are kept inhouse we are also qualified mechanics so are able to assess vehicle properly we use a transport company if vehicle isnt roadworthy or if vehicle is driveable we drive it back as we have trades insurance rik also stated a lot of work included in the price he agreed with you only thing that would be down to you would be transport cost as that wasnt agreed in the price

Maybe I did missunderstand then ,
I thought Rik said he did not have a way of transporting the sourced car to your workshop, or being able to provide the parts from inhouse stock.
If by the time I have the money sorted KIRAD has a source on a decent car, is able to arrange transport to the workshop and do all the work I need doing, for a better price than KOE, then GREAT.
The only reason KOE is winning so far, is that they said they would take car of transport, viewing of the car and the work, obviously at cost to me.
I thought Rik meant I would need to arrange the transport
myself, completly seperate from the deal I make with KIRAD.

no kirad can source a car for you and transport it at your cost no problem the funds for the donor vehicle would have to of cause be paid at time of collection of vehicle

Sorry if you misunderstood me. I stated that we did not personally have the means.
Of course we can arrange it at an additional cost.
Also any parts needed for the build from overseas can be sourced from us but on the understanding that there will be import duties on arrival in the uk that will need to be paid before release.

Right
Sorry Rik, it was my stupid missunderstanding of what you described
I will bear you in mind for when the money is sorted, and of course I understand there is import duty to spend on items from overseas, so far I have only seen a few items from KNIGHTDESIGNS.COM, which I like and they are things I can put on myself after the main work is done.
Thanks for your continued understand and assistance in this, I really must be the most annoying person constantly asking questions and pestering people
