firebird 1989

I have found that car. It is a V8 5.7L manufactured in 1989.
I am thinking of buying it as the alternative option is buying one from US at the end of next year and issue it as historical car.

Rear spoiler has a central light. Does that mean that back of the car will have a hole
if i replace it with a 1982 rear one?

Also center console if taken out can it be replaced with a 1982 one?
Finally will i have any difficulties to convert it to a 1982-1984 pontiac?
As driving everyday car....
Advantages ++
That car will be allowed to drive whenever and wherever.
Disadvantages --
Traffic fees : 310 euros
Car Insurance : 400 euros per year
As Historical Car :
Advantages ++
No traffic fees
Car Insurance : 150 euros per year
Disadvantages --
Driving only at weekends and unti sun sets.
Participating in historical car rally of acropolis

there will be about 3 holes when you remove the light in the hatch. the spoiler is no diff from the 82-84 apart from the recess for the light so you could just fill it and it will be spot on.
The console will change out yes. But you will have to change the shifter mechanism out for a 83-86 camaro one and then put a 82 TA knob on.
There are no ground fx so not much issues there. The rest of the 82-84 stuff is mainly cosmetic like the rear bumper etc and swap straight over.
Hope this helps.

Where did you read that ? ive never heard of anyone having issues fitting turbocasts to any year of 3rd gen. GM used the same size drums and calipers on all the F-bodies i think.

Maybe it was referring to the Sports pack option cars?
I can't remember what they called this option now, but they had tweeked 5.7ltr engine, upgraded suspension, and 16" sports rims, so maybe the calipers were bigger on these cars due to the 16" sports rims (that would make fitting 15" TCs a problem)

well the car i think buying as seen above has 17'' wheels...
the car has been manufactured in JANUARY 1989. It is a 5.700 cc V8 with 230BHP.
i am afraid i will have problem with rims...

Even the GTA'S and Firebird Formulas with the WS6 pack would still have the usual brakes, they changed the rear end depending on what model it was, either an LSD axle, or a live one, but im sure the brakes remained the same throughout.
My car is a 87 GTA and mine came with drums from the factory, Dave Stapely also has an 87 GTA but his has calipers on the rear and he has turbocasts on his car.
