WOW the Friday night was amazing hey? didnt everyone look smart and represented the event real well?
Catherine and Nick and Malti only got in at 3pm from LA and with the party at 7,30 Cat hit the hey and slept for 15 hours!

I have never been to a night as enjoyable and professional looking as this and loved every second of it, with a lucky few getting a bite to eat with the guests at Mcdonnalds lol

Was great to see you all on the saturday and yet again God smiled on us with Sunshine

The signing session went really well and hopfully you all got all the things signed you wanted to etc

Was great for me to meet folks too like Dave Stapley and Mike Underwood who last year didnt get time to say hi to

again thanks to you all who donated the raffle prizes! Chris Jones great but was like the worlds worst gameshow host hahha, his assistant however was fantastic

was a great few days and so surreal having these people in our lives for the weekend hey that we all saw on TV as children

David Hasselhoff wished the event well on twitter as he was singing in Laughlin at a casino so thats al good too

Thank you to Kirad, Knightsofengland and Interior Wizzard with sponsorship and the guys off this forum who all scrubbed up well to help on the night and through the day on the Saturday and you all made our guests feel so welcome!

The unsung hero was Robs brother in law, who was so fantastic behind the scenes and made the event run smooth so thanks to him too!!!
Forgot to say thanks to all the chaparones for their help and the guys who drove the guests down for us!

and Garthe Knight you looked great! Cat said it was a great john travolta impression hehe

I am so proud we have visitors from all over europe inc , Germany, Italy, Croatia etc

again just a reminder to sign up for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] newsletter
and please if not allready done so there are a few KnightCon official tshirts and merchandise left

cheers

Steve

Just had a thought you know what would be cool !!!!!!!!!!

We put ALL the KITTS ( that attend ) in a semi circle ( tight one) and get all the owners beside their cars l and tag the photo with all the names Bit like one I did at billing tho on a closer circle ??? every one can tag themselves would be neat and every year the circle would get bigger could start a 2nd row etc so 2 circles bit like in a school photo and get someone to do one of those special photos where its long and everyone can be in it , should would make a good photo to be framed ????i

Every year the same thing is suggested but by the time it's quiet enough to achieve this most of the owners have left :-(

I didnt know this was suggested before i it was my first time at Knightcon ,

Well maybe we must put that on the days event schedule that a certain time this will be done specially if we find another venue where there is a nice back ground . Maybe have a loud speeker at the Knightcon so no one has an excuse not to move his or her car into the line up . Smile And if its posted here also maybe within the web site on the Knightcon section ( if this hasnt been done before ) maybe a printable schedule that everyone attending can print it direct from here that shows the times and order things will be done. Bit like they have at Americana just an A4 sheet as well as the ones we had posted around that allot of people didnt look at inc me Embarassed . That way NO ONE has any excuse not to be there at the right time for the photo shoot.

Also maybe on the same line a printable job sheet with things needed doing to make the day go smooth help I mean and guys and gals could put there name down for certain things like the raffle tickets from 1-2 is jane 2-4 is who ever help in car park from 3-4 stuart 4=8 who ever to try get more of us to help Steve and Rob with the running of it.

I would have helped where i could just didnt know what to do , also i didnt rec allot of people as my first time so didnt know who to ask ! just a suggestion and I only met a handfull of you lot there rest didnt come up to me or know me to know who I was I nearly thought I would where a picture of my car and name on a homemade badge.................................

I think for the time being people need to leave KC alone and not get your hopes up about 'next year'.

It was a spectacular event and loved every minute of it.

Who would have thought that back in 1982 while watching Knight Rider, I said to myself, I will be having a McDonalds in 2010 with the stars of this fantastic tv show.

It was great to meet everybody and talk to Rebecca, Catherine, Mike and Nick.

Having all their autographs on my car parts etc makes me feel very proud that all the hard work by Steve and Rob, and of course all the people involved is worth so much to everybody.

Thank You

Mike

your more than welcome, the event has never been done to make money, you wont believe the amount it looses, everytime someone says they had fun or a thank you makes it more worth while

again thanks

i thought we were going to come up with ideas to help there be a 2011 KC we have a year to fund raise . If we leave it alone I see it not returning as there wont be enough time to get some ££ behind us .
Surely wouldn,t it be better to get a KR account and start to fund raise and by 2011 we will know how much money there is to go to staging it .
if there isnt enough at least we can say we tried! And what ever we have made could maybe hold a less but still gr8 event even if its just hiring a field for the day and a few trade stands and gathering ............

Hi Rach,

If I'm reading this correctly I think what Chris is trying to say (in his usual tactful way Laughing ) is that although everyone's ideas are greatly appreciated (and will no doubt be looked at in detail later on), everyone concerned with putting on KnightCon are still recovering from this year's event, and are still in the "Never again!!!" period.
This year's event was bigger and better than anything the team have laid on before, and in doing so I think they have really pushed themselves too hard and the stress levels went through the roof, so now need some time to unwind, recharge their batteries, regain their enthusiasm, and mend some friendships if there is to be any chance of a KC event next year.

By New Year hopefully everyone concerned will have a better idea of what (if anything) they want to do about KC2011, and will then probably be open to suggestions/ideas from us if the event is to continue.

Regards,
Tony

For now Rob and I want this to go down in history as the most spectacular experience in the world of Knight Rider

We are glad you had fun, we are glad we were able to bring guests to you some of us would never meet in a lifetime

The thing with Knightcon is the financial drain, the stress that comes with it, and it even puts a strain on relationships and families too as it takes nearly a year and lack of sleep to put together

this yare the event took 3 days to assemble and 3 days to take down

We are humbled and proud that the VIP guests even consider coming 6000 miles to attend, and for people to spend their hard earned cash to come from LA, Italy,Germany ,Swis, Croatia and the list goes on

To drive the cars to the event too with fuel prices was amazing , some folks had driven 600 miles in a 30 year old gas guzzling car

I personally am enjoying sitting back and enjying the photos and videos because i dont think it will be replicated ever again:)
