Sold my KITT
Tue May 10, 2011 7:21 pm
Hi All,
It is with great regret that i inform you that i have now sold my KITT!!
It's a decision that i've been trying to make for over a year "do i keep it or do i not"
The reason: Well, to be honest, i just didn't drive it enough. Every year i make a resolution to drive it more but it never happens. It was too much of a show car to just leave in a car park on a day out so i literally just took it to Shows. I was able to attend less and less of these for one reason or another and i can count on 2 hands the amount of times i had him out last year (and the year before, the year before that etc)
I decided that it would be better for us to part ways and give someone else a chance to get some enjoyment from him.
Good news: He's gone to a good home. The guys name is Darren and he's an avid fan and has tried several times to build a replica but doesn't have the time.
You can see by this google photo from a few years back just what a fan he is

He's a really nice guy and i hope KITT serves him well.
He's gonna try to make it to Knightcon too and will hopefully visit this forum.

I'm really sorry to hear that Peter, but you never know what the future may bring your way.
Do you want to know something REALLY ironic???
The KITT replica in the foreground of that link (that he recently sold on ebay) is MY original hardtop KITT that I sold in Aug 2007
I'd recognise it anywhere with that sunroof and Knight Passions nose.
Don't be a stranger mate, still expect to see you at KnightCon too
