I think they look great too. I would love some of those.
The car has some isse's but nothing to major. Cracked dash pad covered in carpet is about the worst.
Probably gonna look at sorting the exhaust for a quieter one at the weekend. I'll probably keep the loud one as well in case i ever want to refit it.
If i don't sell my eclipse in a decent time, i may need to sell this one. I was stupid enough to put it on my Credit card thinking that the Eclipse was just about sold but the deal fell through today
Anyway, here's hoping

Had a bit of a tinker with it, hopefully sorted one of its minor issues out

Yep, No more leaky footwell.
I had a feeling it would be a broken/missing grommet in the bulkhead, Same as my old Trans-am-aro. lol.
Roll on Next satuirday when i can get a quieter exhaust fitted.

My New 1999 Firebird
Sat Feb 09, 2013 1:16 pm
Well, thought i should start a thread about the car i bought last weekend
Firstly, here's some pics of the car.
It is Exceptionally clean throughout, underneath is almost spotless, Interior spotless (Except broken dash pad), Very light marks on the paintwork.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The few bad points it has are hopefully all east fixes. Me and Scott Fixed the leak in the footwell last night.
It has a REALLY loud exhaust. people think we exaggerate when i say that but i can guarantee you have not heard an exhaust like this. Prepapred Rob last night who came to test fit his KITT dash into Scotts car and he STILL nearly crapped himself!!
Got it booked in to get a quieter exhaust fitted next saturday though.
More updates to come.

I've started a thread about the 1999 Firebird now with new pics i've just taken.
No prob Steve, i'll let whoever buys it know.
Ideally i'd like it to Stay local but i know that's not really gonna happen now my deal has fell through with the guy who wanted it as he couldn't get the loan.

Thanks guys
I reckon Peter should do the mod, be dead easy to do the scanner section, and pretty simple to do the extra 2 pairs of foglights, if he can get hold of a secondhand nose? Then spray the car gloss black!!!!!

Yeah, i'd already thought of the scanner. Long before these photoshops were done, i created a model of a 1999 KITT with scanner and all.

Now who's gone and merged the "should Peter buy another Firebird" thread an my "new 1999 Firebird" thread? you naughty boy. Kept it seperate as a build/update log.

Arghh. I KILL you!! lol.
Cheers, it looked better in the flesh. My camera wasn't so good and the lighting makes it look like it's all dusty, but it was sheer black shiney gloss

We had another night working on the car through the week, it now has 2 headlights ! lol, orange sidelights, a nice new dashpad and the firebird on the bonnet to match the other gold decals Peter had already put on.
I forgot to adjust your back box though Peter sorry

My god, I look like such a scruff lol.
I have to admit, i opted to put the decals on myself in case i didn't like them so i didn't waste the money getting it done professionally.
Have to admit though, i do REALLY like the gold decals. Even though they're from a '77 bird, i think they well suit the lines of the car.

Not much else planned really. Most of the stuffs done. Just the Gearbox mount to do as Robin from Autopontiac sent me the wrong one last week so couldn't get it changed.
The interior in this car is absolutley mint. Not even any bolster wear so i'd be reluctant to change it to be honest. Thanks for the info though
