Great thread Steve.
As a musician I have to listen to absolutely everything lol...
I'm still blown away by these three swedish guys known as 'Dirty Loops'.
Individually they are amazing musicians and all classically/jazz trained etc. Frightening musicianship for people so young...'totally raised the bar for what you can do in a pop format.
They have been getting millions of hits on YouTube for their incredible cover versions of pop songs and have recently signed to a major label and are currently recording their CD of original material.
Please check them out.

i Love Train. Like the song's "hey Soul Sister" "Mermaid" and "Drive by"
I've been into a band called "Love And Theft" for about a year now.
They are kind of a country band but a lot of their songs feature american muscle cars like Mustang's. My 3 fave songws of theirs are "Runaway" "Angel Eyes" and "running out of Air"

ive got random tastes in music too, i can generally get away with anything apart from horrible chav dance music, love 80's cheese, 90's cheese on a night out with Peter ! but my preferred genre is metal and rock.
The thing is i dont tend to listen to much new stuff apart from bands i really like, i listen to the same stuff, usually when im in KITT actually ! My favourites are Metallica, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed and i like a bit of the older stuff too like WASP and Ozzy etc
Heres one of my fav songs, its mega heavy, mix of really heavy with some awesome vocals, really do like Killswitch

LOL, my music taste is definetly stuck in the 80's for the most part (mainly 80's Rock ballads) with a bit of 60's & 70's stuff I remember from when I was a kid, but I also like listening to a bit of Bruno Mars, Olly Murs, & Amy Whitehouse.

80's pop/dance music still sounds good to me, much better than most of the modern mainstream music but I do like Trance music since late 90's to this day.
Especially I like those 80's synthpop hits, like these few examples:
Human League - Don't You Want Me

Eurythmics - There Must Be An Angel:

Sandra - Maria Magdalena:

Gazebo - I Like Chopin:

Phil Collins - Sussudio:

I could go on and on
The 80's rock ballads, from this genre I like Whitesnake - Is This Love.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Pure rock, ZZ Top, for example Can't Stop Rockin:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Ok I admit in the early 90's I also liked to listen the usual Eurodance groups like 2unlimited, Haddaway, etc. but also dance/house music like CeCe Peniston - Finally and the likes:

This kind of dancemusic sounded to me at the time more "mature" than the wild and energetic Eurodance/techno groups, for example Westbam and Marusha, the tempo was exhaustingly fast
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Late 90's I discovered trance and artists like Paul Van Dyk:
For An Angel:

Have since enjoyed listening this genre, lately Above & Beyond have made lot of music I like, for example A Thing Called Love:

Funny thing I found out recently, I have enjoyed a lot listening Armand Van Helden - I Want Your Soul track which came out in 2007:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Turns out it's based on 1980's song, namely Siedah Garret - Do You Want It Right Now Now I like this 80's version even better!
Seems I'm spoiled by the 80's music, tv-shows and other popular culture forever, if I like something, chances are it has some connection to the 1980's

Here's one song which might've been great in Knight Rider, Secret Service - Flash in the Night. It's even from 1982:

You're right, That would have been a great Knight Rider song. Very 80's electropop.

Talking about 80's synthpop, didn't know Garth Knight went on to synthpop career so I guess he survived after all from the fall
Garth Knight - Activate the Cage ( You have Power!)
Here's another one, Turbo boost:

Is it just me or does this bass quitarist look a bit like Bonnie
Nice quitar playing, would be nice if she'd play some Knight Rider scores too with the bass quitar
