Great post! I wonder who recorded the cover versions of these songs that were used for the most part? Universal session musicians?

Some of the titles on that list above could do with some fixing but thanks for posting!
Sweet Home Alabama is Lynard Skynard of course.
Proud Mary (not Rolling Down a River) is based on the Credence version.
I think that Harden My Heart is based on the Pat Benetar version also.

Yeah, thats a great song too! Joes' Knight Rider Legacy is a great book too!
As for Proud Mary, yeah you are right it makes no difference but the sleeve to the original 'Creedence Clearwater Revival' album 'Bayou Country' calls it simply Proud Mary, that's what I was quoting :-)...Anyway as you say it makes no difference, still a great song and I always preferred Elvis' version lol
Good spot with Nobody by Sylvia, I'll check that one out too!

You know I had to think for a while about that for a while...
It's...
"K.I.T.T.: It was horrible.
Michael Knight: You know, you would've hated yourself, you even said the word 'ain't'.
K.I.T.T.: Ugh! Unforgivable."

I really loved the cover version Sweet Home Alabama in "Short Notice"! Sounded more country and had a great beat to it! You also see Don Peak in the bar playing the guitar!
There are plenty of songs used in the series that I loved!
Another song I like is "Hurts So Good" by John Cougar Mellencamp in "Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death" Sadly they removed that song from the new DVD box set! Sucks! Was in the original DVD Season 1 set in 2004.

Absolutely great thread folks!
Love it.
I was thinking only last night about putting a high quality mp3 or flac playlist of all the songs in order played from Knight of the phoenix to voodoo knight.
Run into a snag though as some of the tilles I had know clue what they where, and sound hound was being less than useful lol. Great work so far!

Yeah, I agree ha ha...
I have actually contacted Universal regarding the musicians that performed the cover versions and have not had a reply yet. I am hoping that Paul Nuthall can use some of his contacts and solve this mystery.
I would assume that the musicians that recorded these did other Universal shows and were probably just session musicians...it's possible Stu Phillips would know as the first season was full of covers, especially the pilot.
